I'm Back...

Hello family and friends, I just know all of you have been on pins and needles waiting for another one of my blogs!  ;)

Well, this last week was a tough one for The Jones'.  Shane lost his PaPa this week.  What an honorable man the world lost.  He had an awesome 85 years!  As most of you know, Shane has already lost his dad earlier this year.  So, another loss in the family just seems to add salt to the wound.  We are all sure though that GranDaddy and PaPa have been reunited and already cuttin' up in heaven.  Man, both of these men will be sorely missed.

While our travel to Amarillo was for a sad occasion this weekend, we made the most of it.  I really enjoy each trip, I love spending time with Shane's family.  Our time is so limited, I wish we could some how bridge the gap between Amarillo and Lewisville!

Friday night when we arrived, we went to the first day of their Tri-County Fair.  It was so much fun to experience this with Shane's family.  The fair has been a life-long tradition in  my family so to get to experience it with The Jones' was priceless.  The kids had tons of fun!  They rode the ferris wheel, jumped with bungee cords, and played lots of games!

Saturday morning was PaPa's service.  It was very nice.  There is something about seeing an American flag draped on a casket that pulls your heart strings every time.  God bless these men in our country that serve as PaPa did.

Saturday afternoon Nanna took Shelbey birthday shopping!  Shelbey had tons of fun at The Buckle!  :)  She gots lots birthday goodies.  I still can't believe that she is going to be 15 this Saturday!  And boy, oh, boy does she have the itch to drive!!!  YIKES!  That scares me beyond belief!  lol....

Shane and Beau came back early from Amarillo for Beau's football game.  That Beau just keeps getting better and better.  He had a 30 yard complete pass!  If you ask me, that is pretty darn good for a 10 year old!  Demolition came up short of the win, but did give the Titans a good run for their money by holding them to 0-0 at the half.  I just love seeing Beau improve week after week!  Makes me super proud!

I just loved seeing my Jacie interact with her cousins, aunts/uncles, and of course her Nanna!  She had such a good time with all of them.  She loves her family!  She melted Nanna's heart by getting close to her this trip.  She snuggled up and read books with Nanna, dragged Nanna all throughout her house to check it out.  I love that their relationship is growing and that Jacie loves her so much!  Family means the world to me and would love to instill that value within Jacie!

We made it back home today.  Man that drive is really long, flat, and boring!  To me, there is no drive too far for family.  I am very blessed to be a part of The Jones family!

Here are a couple of pics from the fair!
