Christmas 2010

Well, Christmas time has come and gone....  Boo!  I miss it already.  I just love this time of year!  We had such a great time and we were blessed to be surrounded by so many loved ones.

First let me start by saying that Jacie was REALLY into it this year.  She helped me put up the tree and decorations!  She is quite the helper these days.  We went to see Santa and boy was she excited!  She loved the snow and her visit with Santa.  She went right to him, gave him a BIG hug, layed her head on his shoulder and was totally in awe!  Santa was very sweet and made Jacie and me feel so special! We made sure to give him "the list" which this year included: A Tee-tar (guitar), microphone, purse, hair brush, and castle!

On Tuesday afternoon, we headed to Amarillo to spend time with my husband's family.  We even brought our dog along for the first time.  He did so well on a 6 hour ride in his kennel!

Jacie had her own lil Christmas since her and I were headed home for Santa's arrival!  Thank you to Nanna and family for making Jacie feel so special!  She loved her gifts!

On Christmas Eve Jacie and I flew back to Dallas so we could be home in time for Santa!  I was concerned how Jacie would do, but she did great!  My big girl wasn't really even nervous through some turbulants!  I was really proud of her!
We missed Daddy being here with us on Christmas morning, but we videoed all of it so that he wouldn't miss the look on Jacie's face when she saw that Santa had come.  That look was priceless!

We went to Mimi and PawPaw's house for Christmas Day.  The biggest day of the year for our family.  My parents put so much love and effort to make it just perfect.  I am forever grateful for our Christmas memories!

Below are some of my favorite shots of what matters most to me... my family.  :)

I hope each of you had a great Christmas!  I know we did!  Until next time....  Big Hugs!

Thanksgiving 2010

Hello friends and family!  Long time no write.... busy as always, especially now that the holidays are here!  My favorite time of year!!!!

I am so thankful for this holiday and the time spent with my family.  Each year holds new memories and stories for the future.  One of my all time favorites was when my Nana ATE my aunt's potpourri!  Oh Nana, you are so sorely missed and I cannot wait to one day have Thanksgiving with you again!

This years story was definitely that of The Colon's expecting!  I am so thrilled for not only Jules and Stephen, but for my aunt and uncle as well.  What a blessing to our family that lil Mason Jackson will be!  I cannot wait for my cousin to experience a mother's love and the bond with her first born.  A feeling like no other!

While I am on that subject, I would like to give my thanks to God for blessing me with my Jacie.  I truly feel complete with this sweet baby!  I STILL look at her in awe that God fulfilled my life-long dream of being a mama!  Miracles do happen friends, those doctors were not right in our case!

I hope all reading had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday too! Until next time...

Big hugs and love from JJ!

Been away too long!

Hello family and friends.  I have been a terrible blogger lately.  I just can't seem to get a free moment to write though.

We have had lots going on since I wrote last!  Beau's football team did make it to the playoffs this year but was unfortunately beat in the first round.  We have also started our basketball season.  Team Demolition basketball is great!  We are undefeated!  Basketball is a nice change of pace.  Lewisville Football Associated is too testosterone out there for me!  And the sad thing is... it is poorly managed.  It seems as though the focus is way too far away from the object of the league and that is for the kids to have fun!

Shelbey has also been practicing a ton for her basketball season that will start next week.  She has be at school at 6:00 a.m. for practice, OMG that is for the birds!  Ha!  She loves every minute of it though.  We are wishing big sis a SUPER season with Marcus Freshman Silver Team!

Jacie just seems to be growing like a weed.  She is full of fun! She has really been picking up on her colors recently and is starting to get into letter recognition.  Granted we have long way to go, she does know a couple!  It makes me so proud to see her mind so smart!

Our Texas Rangers made it all the way to the World Series this year!  I have really enjoyed watching each game.  By far, baseball is my favorite sport.  I love the laid back atmosphere and the game in general.  The playoffs had such an electric energy!  We had lots of fun watching some of the games at Chuck and T's house, as well as, at our house with the kiddos and even Uncle Jason for a couple of games.  The Rangers did get beat, but what a year for the organization.  I am super proud to be fan and can't wait to see what next year brings!

We have also had another visit to the pumpkin patch!  This time we went out to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch with Cole, Hanna, and Jack!  I always enjoy times when my family is together and cherish watching all our babies grow up together healthy and happy.  A true blessing!

Trick or treating this year was so much fun!  Although Jacie thought she was a butterfly since she had wings, she was actually a Bumble Bee!  Jacie seemed to really catch on!  She was so cute telling each person "thank you"!

Below are some of our recent photos.  :)

Hugs for Barney!

I had the best day with you....

Hello friends and family.  Happy Friday!

I decided at the last minute to take a vacation day and spend the day with my Jacie.  Our day was so much fun, although it started out on a scary note!  Friday is our trash day, when I was backing out of our drive way I noticed that the trash man had already come.  I decided that I would get out of the car and pick it up and put it in the garage.  Keep in mind, I was 3/4 down my drive way which is a hill (not that steep, but still a hill).  When I put the trash can away, I realized that I had forget to set our house alarm.  I opened the back door and out of the corner of my eye, I saw my car rolling!  It had rolled uphill, through the garage, and ulitmatley crashed into our house!  Jacie was along for this ghost driver ride and never made a peep!  I was so lucky that all that happened out of ordeal was about a 4' hole in our garage sheetrock.  We will have to replace the trash can and ladder.  I was so thankful that my baby girl was alright, it was the most helpless feeling seeing my car driving itself and me not at the wheel to stop it!  Moral of the story friends - It is always a good idea to place your car in Park before exiting the vehichle!  Duh to me!  It was mistake that I can look back on a laugh about now.  I bet not many of you have running into a house on your driving resume and are extremely jealous!

After all the excitement, we made our way to the Dallas Arboretum for the Autumn decor tour.  My Jacie had a ball seeing all the pumpkins!  They had pumpkins in every shape, size, and color.  There was even several pumpkin houses!!!!!

Today is a a day that count my blessings and I am so thankful for this beautiful baby girl.  Jacie you have made your mommy so happy, complete, and proud by just being you!  I long for many more days like today that we can spend the day together....  I had the best day with you!  Mommy loves you Jace!

As I type, we rooting on the Rangers in their series against the Yankees.  Post season baseball is a blast!  I believe that our Rangers can do it!  Off to root them on..... OMG Hamilton just hit a 3 run homer!  I gotta go people!  :)

Have a great weekend all!  Big hugs and love from JJ!

It's been a while...

Hello friends and family.  I am sorry for such a delayed post on what has been going on in our lives!  We have been so busy every day that I have had a hard time trying to get a moment to write a few words.  I know you all have been on the edge of your seat waiting!!!!!

This past weekend we were swamped with fun!  Saturday Demolition Sports had a fabulous day!!!  Beau had his first basketball game of the season.... the boys played great and won 36-4.  That afternoon our football team had a rather important game.  Our game had to be won in order to make the playoffs.  As most of you know, this is a BIG deal for Demolition Football.  We won our game 22-8!!!  Yippee, play off bound!  We have had some tough seasons in the last couple of years so to make it to the play off's is a relief.  Beau makes me so proud, that child plays every sport with all of his heart.

Saturday night was a good time.  We attended Dawn's 50th Suprise Birthday Bash!  I think there will be stories for many years to come....lol!  Shane was in rare form and showed a side that some of those ladies had never seen!  From leading cheers to RANDOM comments, I think we will all be able to look back and laugh!  I think that Miss Dawn was able to do a lot of laughing that night, and hey that's what life is all about!  We sure are blessed to call The Guillaume Family our friends.  They truly are great people, parents, and kiddos!  :)

Sunday was a big day for my family.  We made our annual trip to The Texas State Fair!  The fair has been a tradition in my family since I was old enough to remember.  My mommy was a working mom and by-golly some how every year without fail, she was able to take a day off and we headed to the fair.  The memories are all still so fresh in my mind like it was yesterday.  I love that my mom made this a tradition, and I plan to do the same with my Jacie.  She has been every year since she has been born so far!  I know to some, this may seem like a silly tradition, but to be surrounded by the ones I love in beautiful weather and seeing the kiddos having such a ball is an ideal day for me!  Almost like Christmas!

Hello!!!

And I can't leave out what a great time we have had supporting the Rangers!  The Jones' are one happy bunch!  Shane and I were hootin' and hollarin' when the won their first round of the play offs!  We can't wait for Friday to see them in action again!  Bring on the Yankees, regardless of what Yankee fans think.... they are beatable!  The Rangers have proven that this season.  Our house believes.....  If we dream it, we can achieve it!  As Jacie says: "Lets go Rangers, Lets go Rangers"!!!

Until next time.....  BIG hugs and love from JJ!  :)
