GranDaddy, Demo Homecoming, and Shelbey is 15!

Hellllllloooo friends and family.  I hope all is well in your world and that my local friends are enjoying the cooler weather!  It is nice for a change, but I am a warm weather girl so it will get too cold for me quick!

Thursday, September 23 was GranDaddy's first birthday in Heaven.  We would like to send our birthday wishes to him in Heaven.  Oh the party he is having!  I'm sure he is listening to some old country music and enjoying time with PaPa.  We miss you sorely, GranDaddy.  You may be gone... but NEVER forgotten.

Beau's football team had Homecoming this last weekend.  It was lots of fun!  Thursday night they had a team dinner and pep rally.  The pep rallies are always a hoot!  You will have to check out my Facebook Videos to see the Demo boys rendition of "How funky your chicken"!  Beau is a dancing fool! He dances like his Daddy!  For some reason I couldn't get it to post correctly in this blog, I am just not that saavy yet!
Saturday afternoon was the parade and the big game.  While I wish I had a win to report, unfortunately they lost.  Here is a pic of Beau and RJ at the parade, they are best friends.  RJ is the coolest kiddo, he seems like part of the family!  We love that boy!  Also pictured is the 2010 9-10 Demolition Team.

Saturday night we went to celebrate our Shelbey!  We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.... YUMMY!  She was surrounded by lots of family and friends.  We had such a good time celebrating such a blessing the Jones Family.  Shelbey is such a sweet girl and truly beautiful inside and out!  May this be a year be her best yet!

I hope everyone has a blessed-filled week!  We shall report at a later date!

I'm Back...

Hello family and friends, I just know all of you have been on pins and needles waiting for another one of my blogs!  ;)

Well, this last week was a tough one for The Jones'.  Shane lost his PaPa this week.  What an honorable man the world lost.  He had an awesome 85 years!  As most of you know, Shane has already lost his dad earlier this year.  So, another loss in the family just seems to add salt to the wound.  We are all sure though that GranDaddy and PaPa have been reunited and already cuttin' up in heaven.  Man, both of these men will be sorely missed.

While our travel to Amarillo was for a sad occasion this weekend, we made the most of it.  I really enjoy each trip, I love spending time with Shane's family.  Our time is so limited, I wish we could some how bridge the gap between Amarillo and Lewisville!

Friday night when we arrived, we went to the first day of their Tri-County Fair.  It was so much fun to experience this with Shane's family.  The fair has been a life-long tradition in  my family so to get to experience it with The Jones' was priceless.  The kids had tons of fun!  They rode the ferris wheel, jumped with bungee cords, and played lots of games!

Saturday morning was PaPa's service.  It was very nice.  There is something about seeing an American flag draped on a casket that pulls your heart strings every time.  God bless these men in our country that serve as PaPa did.

Saturday afternoon Nanna took Shelbey birthday shopping!  Shelbey had tons of fun at The Buckle!  :)  She gots lots birthday goodies.  I still can't believe that she is going to be 15 this Saturday!  And boy, oh, boy does she have the itch to drive!!!  YIKES!  That scares me beyond belief!  lol....

Shane and Beau came back early from Amarillo for Beau's football game.  That Beau just keeps getting better and better.  He had a 30 yard complete pass!  If you ask me, that is pretty darn good for a 10 year old!  Demolition came up short of the win, but did give the Titans a good run for their money by holding them to 0-0 at the half.  I just love seeing Beau improve week after week!  Makes me super proud!

I just loved seeing my Jacie interact with her cousins, aunts/uncles, and of course her Nanna!  She had such a good time with all of them.  She loves her family!  She melted Nanna's heart by getting close to her this trip.  She snuggled up and read books with Nanna, dragged Nanna all throughout her house to check it out.  I love that their relationship is growing and that Jacie loves her so much!  Family means the world to me and would love to instill that value within Jacie!

We made it back home today.  Man that drive is really long, flat, and boring!  To me, there is no drive too far for family.  I am very blessed to be a part of The Jones family!

Here are a couple of pics from the fair!

Marcus WINS!

Hello friends and family.  I hope this Saturday finds all of you feelin' fine!  Our whole family went to Shelbey's Homecoming game last night.  It was a lot fun.  Boy, did it make me feel old, but still so young.  ;)  I survived a serious case of bleacher butt.  It was awesome to be in the atmosphere under those Friday Night Lights!

Shelbey is so grown now, hanging with the fam was not on her agenda.  I know it is just the age, but man that is tough to swallow when you offer for her to sit with you and she says "no thanks".  Oh well, she seemed to have good time with her friends.  Beau and RJ had a blast of course and were dripping with sweat from playing!  Jacie really enjoyed her first high school football game!  She was in awe of all of the sights and sounds.  :)

We are happy to report that Marcus brought home with victory over Arlington Lamar 35-7!  Here are some our pics of the day.

Beau has his football game today at 3:00!  Shelbey has her Homecoming Dance tonight!    More to come from The Jones'!  Enjoy your weekend family and friends!  Big Hugs!

Short Week

Hello friends and family!  Not to much to report as my brain is in billing overload!  Work has been busy!

I am glad to report that the rain has stopped!  Well, at least for the time being.  Hurricane Hermine has worn it's welcome out with me!  Rain makes for a yucky traffic-filled drive and lots of flooding.  Although I appreciate the break in the water bill, enough is enough already!

Jacie has been in rare form this week as usual.  She has started this whole "my turn" thing.  So, Tuesday night when mommy was taking a shower before her tubbie, it was "her turn"!  She was pretty upset with me!  She proceeded to get daddy to get her undressed, she took her diaper off, and got in mommy's closet and got my tennis shoes as she always does.  The child was streaking the house in mommy's shoes.  It was a sight to see!  She was just a smiling and laughing the whole time.

The weather put a damper on the Homecoming festivities for Shelbey. The parade was cancelled.  Last night brought more than eventful weather to our area.  Tornados were popping up all over the Dallas area.  I was a nervous wreck!  Every since I have seen a tornado live, I have been terrified!  There was a tornado that was very close to my office.  Thank goodness I was already gone for the day and all my co-worker's were safe!

I am hoping the weather does not cancel our football game and Shelbey's Homecoming game this weekend!  Goodbye rain and hello sunshine, I hope!!!

Enjoy your Friday and weekend friends!
Big Hugs!

Wonderful Weekend

Hello friends and family.  I hope reading this finds you having an awesome Holiday weekend.  I know we have had one of our best weekends in a long time!

It started out on a rough note.  Our A/C was not working Friday, so basically you sit and wait for the repair man to either tell you it's no biggie or that you need to get a second job because you need major work.  Well, we were not so lucky.  We need a new outdoor unit so our weekend started out rather expensive and we hadn't done anything!  This was such frustrating news as we have already poured a fortune into replacing the entire upstairs A/C equipment earlier this year.  So I will be getting a second job! lol... As Shane says "Oh well, it's just money".  We made the most it by hanging at the house and playing in the yard!  I discovered it is almost impossible to get a picture of a 2 year and a puppy!

Saturday we had a football game against the Tigers.  I was so so so proud of Beau.  He had the best game he has ever played.  He had numerous crucial tackles.  The highlight of highlights though was a quarterback keep play that he broke loose from for a 50 yard TOUCHDOWN!  It was his first touchdown ever!  He sure did make it count too, he received 2 penalties when he scored.  One for holding the ball up while crossing the goal line, the other for spiking the ball!  Oh well, it was every kids dream!  It really was a proud moment to see all his hard work come together with a sweet reward.  The last play of the game was awesome too, Beau and RJ sacked the quarterback and caused a fumble.  The Demolition won the game 13-8!!!

Of course the boys headed home for the Texas game.  I met Shelbey at the mall because she found her Homecoming dress!  It is super cute and very Shelbey!  After the mall, we headed to Michael's to get mum stuff.  Her and some her friends made their own and I must say that it turned out very well.  I love spending any time I get with Shelbey, she is growing up so fast!  It was such a dream day for me to see all the kids so happy.  =)

Sunday I headed to Canton for some much needed time with my 2 BFF's, JoAnn and of course Jacie!  We had such a good time.  Who ever thought that shopping could be such hard work! Kinda funny that the only things we came home with were a small wall decoration and a tie-dyed oinking piggie!  It was a rather cheap trip for me.  JoAnn got lots of goodies though.

Today has been a laid back day.  Shane took all of us girls to lunch.  We have been napping and resting since then.  And Jacie has been in Mommy's closet!

Gotta love a restful day to re-charge for the week.  Have a great short week!

Love my new Blog Design! Check it out!

Well, I feel like an official blogger now! Ha!  I love new blog spot page design!  Thank you so much to Faith!  You were just awesome to work with!

Not too much to report.  I have had a horrible headache this week and that is so not like me!  I hate being a complainer.... uggg!  Oh well, all I can do is fake like I don't have a headache and move on about my business.  We are too busy at work to slow down! I like it that way because the days go by really quickly.

Our puppy Cash had a rough day this week.  He decided to go on demolishing spree!  He is crated during the day while we are at work.  He some how reached the carpet mat at the back door and chewed it all to pieces, along with his collar that was around his neck when I left him in the morning.  Thank goodness he didn't chew the actual tags.  We would have a nice vet bill if that were the case.  When we scolded him and put him in the back yard, he chewed a brand new self watering bowl and tore a window screen off the window and guess what!?! He demolished it too!  I see lots of visits to the dog park in our future, that wears him out and makes him sleep the day away.

We are very proud of Shelbey.  She made the Freshman basketball team for Marcus!  She has her hands full between homework and basketball.  She has said that she doesn't see herself having too much free time with such a busy schedule.

As for Beau Man, he is busy preparing for this weeks football game.  We sure are hoping to redeem ourselves on the field this week.

And Jace, well she has become the manners girl!  Thank you, I Sorry, Excuse Me, and No Ma'am to name a few.  It is too cute!

If you get a chance, please lift the entire Jones Family up in prayer.  One of my sister-in-laws in Amarillo lost her dad this week.  Also, Shane's grandpa is at home on hospice.  This year has been a year of difficulty in the loss of loved ones for the Jones Family.  We are still mourning the loss of the beloved GranDaddy!  I think about him so often and think of the fact that Jacie will never know her GranDaddy.  We have pictures to last a lifetime though!  I pray that remainder of the year brings health and happiness to our family.

Have a Happy Friday friends! Enjoy the holiday weekend.

Big Hugs!
